Year drafted: Selected by the Red Bull Barakos in the 2003 rookie draft as 14th pick in the second round. Baguio together with Celino Cruz was dealt to the Express last December 25, 2008 for 2011 and 2012 draft rights.

Player’s note: A swingman who penetrates well in traffic and ready to burn the hoop from down. Baguio is also a potent backcourt defender and a true winner.

Achievements: A UAAP and PBA Mythical first team, 2008 PBA Most Improved Player and Mythical second team.

Career-high: Baguio registered a career-high 34 points last July 23, 2008 in Red Bull’s 104-111 loss against the Ginebra Gin Kings during last Fiesta Cup semifinals. He eclipsed his previous high 31 points against Red Bull’s 107-104 win against Magnolia.

When former teammates Junthy Valenzuela, Lordy Tugade and Larry Fonacier left Red Bull, Baguio took the leadership and brought Red Bull to the quarterfinals and even in semifinals at the previous last two conferences.

Statistics: Baguio averaged 18 points, 4.2 rebounds, 4.0 assists, 1.3 steals and 0.7 blocks in 15 games in the season-opening Philippine Cup. Those numbers earned for him a slot for the victorious South team in the mid-season All-Star Game.

He went on to norm 18.5 points, 3.4 rebounds, 3.2 assists, 1.2 steals and 0.6 blocks through 22 games in the Fiesta Conference.

He recently averaged 13.1 points and 3.6 rebounds in the last Philippine Cup PBA-KFC double round elimination.
