Yes it’s true, Yeng will coach Air21 or BK

LITO Alvarez confirmed Thursday that RP coach and ex-Red Bull mentor Yeng Guiao is set to replace Air21 long-time coach Bo Perasol as head coach of the team, when the next conference begins on March 1, 2009.

“Yes we are working on that and finally he (Guiao) agreed in principle to coach the team,” said Alvarez, who also confirmed that Harbour Centre’s coaching staff, led by its coach Jorge Gallent, and crew would come in.

“We will formally announce this soon. We just need to settle some terms.”

The deal would be finalized by the end of the week, according also to Alvarez, the team governor and manager on Thursday.

Burger King, meanwhile, is the new brand that Air21 will carry in the Fiesta Cup conference.

But Alvarez said they are still waiting for the official approval of the board and commissioner Sonny Barrios for that matter.

“Yes we are all confident that the PBA will approve it without a transfer fee since Burger King is one of the companies own by Bert Lina,” he said.

Guiao revealed to various news reporters the other day that he’ll be heading to the Lina Group of companies next conference.

“I guess I have to cancel my application to a call center office,” Guiao told one of the newspapers the other day after a meeting with representatives from Air21.

“We talked everything including the team’s image, budget and the team’s winning tradition.”

Guiao said he loves to coach the likes of Arwind Santos, Gary David, Don Allado, Homer Se, Cyrus Baguio, Wynne Arboleda, Marvin Cruz and Nino KG Canaleta, among others.

“This team has the component to win championship,” said Guiao. “So accepting their offers are not hard.”

In his eight and-a-half seasons with Red Bull, the fiery mentor compiled a win-loss record of 245-201 (0.549 percent).

He also steered the team to three PBA titles, 2000 and 2001 Commissioner’s Cup, and the 2005-06 Fiesta Cup.

Guiao’s last season is though forgettable after finishing with 3-15 record last conference due to the lack of main players who were traded to other ball clubs.

Bo Perasol, on the other hand, had served as Air21 coach from 2005 to 2009.

He gave the Express a third place finish in the 2005 Fiesta Conference and first runner-up trophy in 2008 Fiesta Conference where they lost to Ginebra Kings in pivotal Game 7.

Sa tingin nyo meron ba tayong dapat itrade for the good of the team next conference?

Kahit nakakuha ba tayo ng 2 big men sa tingin ko hirap pa rin tayo, medyo mabagal sina allado at quiñahan eh but i’m not saying na di sila magaling they both provide quality time Allado on offense and Quiñahan on defense…

Ito sana opinion ko bout sa line up if ever:

C–> Allado,Quiñahan(offense and defense)
PF–>Se(tough player kasi we need it para makasabay sa BGK)
SF–>Santos, Baguio(sila magiging pillar ng team)
SG–>David(kahit me problema ako sa kanya di ko naman madedeny yung scoring nya)
PG–>C. Cruz & M. Cruz(ok na to 1 young and 1 experienced)

Opinion ko lng naman toh…

hmmmm kaya ko hindi sinali si KG & JC kasi we could trade them naman to get a very strong big man at marami naghahabol sa kanila…

on the part of wynnie malakas sya but minsan kasi nawawalan xa ng control at nagiging wreckless minsan… but he can be a part of the staff

sa others naman, we could also trade them for better players i think medyo kasi di nakakatulong eh…

sana naman coach Bo will still be part of the coaching staff…

Since andyan na si coach Yeng, hindi tayo sure kung run and gun pa rin ang system… Isa lang sure dyan, rotation talaga yan like what coach yeng did sa team ng red bull… Dyan mahahasa ang mga players… minsan kasi dying seconds na lang pero yung best 5 eh wala sa playing court to finish the game… dun nahahasa yung mga barakos eh… Kaya naman kapag di pa rin nahasa at nagtino yang si JC Intal sa opensa, Kramer sa depensa, KG sa shot selections…. Eh yari kayo kay Coach yeng… I’m sure more plays ang mangyayari for Cyrus and Gary at hindi na puro one on one plays…

Nanghihinayang lang me sa pagpapalit ng name… Mas astig kasi ang Air21 na name and paano na ang ube republic… Di niyo maiaalis sa aming mga fans na malungkot sa pagpalit ng name… Tingnan niyo Ginebra at San Miguel, nagpalit man ng name, bumalik pa rin sa orig names nila kasi iba na yung NAKAGAWIANG isigaw… But still, inspite the ups and downs nga ng team, i will still support Burger King Whoppers… tama ba monicker nila? iniimagine ko lang kung ano itsura ng jersey nila, ang lata kasi kung yung logo lang ng burger king mismo… gandahan niyo ah… and sana maging available din sa market yung jerseys para makapurchase din kami…

Ok naman pala si Allado, kahit papano maaasahan… so pwede na yang Center spots natin with Quinahan and Allado, may Homer Se pa naman… Hindi na center ang kulang natin kungdi power forward who can post-up just like Ranidel de Ocampo… Pero kung makakuha ng reliable center, pwede naman mag PF si Allado and Se eh…

Basta wag niyo ng galawin sina:

yung dalawang Cruz at si Wynne(wag na bitawan si Wynne, hayaan niyo na siya sa team)-PG

Pero kung walang available, then ibalik niyo na lang sila sa line-up…

The PBA Conspiracy Continues

With the developments of the Air21/Burger King/TnT sister team/Yeng Guiao/Harbour Centre circus…only shows how the PBA is a real marketing vehicle.

Let us tackle them one by one.

Air21 to Burger King
It has been an open secret to Air21 insiders that the franchise has been up for sale since FedEx Intl. transferred their operational hub(asia) out of the Philippines thus with the good graces of Mr. Lina continued the PBA franchise via the Air21 Express. But since times have been hard Lina Group was just waiting for a suitable buyer but the sportsman that Mr. Lina is would not want to easy part with a PBA franchise(lalo na son in law nya player).
It has been rumored that Mr. Lina owes an amount of money to Pangilinan and or Mikee Romero of Harbour.This is natural even with rich businessmen.Mukhang naging pambayad utang ang PBA franchise.

Harbour/TnT/Burger King
Facts:
*Harbour Centre owner Mikee Romero yearns for a PBA franchise.
*Manny Pangilinan has bought majority share of Harbour Centre
*True that majority owner of BK franchise is Mr. Lina with MVP, Mr. Alvarez etc as part owners.
*Accdg to pres release by Mr. Romero he will be more active once he infuses money in to the Franchise.
*TnT and BK are now sister teams.Evident of which is the Ranidel De Ocampo conspiracy trade.
Conspiracy:
while right now Mr. Lina is “majority” of BK franchise and is under Lina Group of Comp.With the entry of MVP and Mikee Romero they will eventually be the top owners of the Franchise,they will eventually become the Majority and it is being started with the running of the BK-PBA franchise.Can we say “pambayad utang”?
De Ocampo was traded to TnT na basta basta na lang in exchange Pangilinan and his group will infuse money into the franchise but in reality they are now powers that be in running the franchise…for money for marketing purposes.
Scenario:
Air21 had two games left in the elims against Red Bull and Talk and Text.Should they have won that game they would have been in prime position to advance to either an outright quarters or even semis.Red Bull, TnT, Air21 we all know what happened with the 3 teams.Air21 could have easily won against Red Bull but played differently against this team.Still Air21 had a chance with TnT in their xmas meeting but TnT got Ranidel via the trade.Kinuha na si Ranidel kesa talunin pa ng Air21 ang TnT.Dapat pumasok ang TnT na una na mas kilala na main team ni MVP sa PBA.noong na relegate na sa wildcard and Air21 they wanted Air21 to get marketing exposure and attention thats why they got Baguio and Cruz from RB.hoping na talunin ang SMC teams na PF(which) they did and SMB(which they failed).MVP so wants to beat SMC teams.But this moneyed people will not put their eggs in one basket they will want a win-win situation always.Should they have advanced beyond the quarters or semis.The complications would be that why justify the Air21 to Bk transfer, why change the coach?kung nag advance naman at naging successful and at that time di pa naman why would Romero and Pangilinan infuse money to pay bonuses and stuff for Air21 na Lina talaga and not to their own people.Kawawa lang talaga ang head coach na si Perasol nilamon ng sistema sa PBA he was put in a situation na pag nanalao sya okay lang pag natalo mas okay.Unfair para sa kanaya kaya nabigla anag Mgamt nung dalhin nya with his lineup of p;layers and staff sa championship ang Air21 last Fiesta Conf.Bottom line eh madaling ayusin ang scenario sa PBA with conspiracies from team owners and officials, pera nila ito so madaling daainin sa usapan.Kung wala sila wala din namang PBA.

It came out in the papers that PBA Chairman Trillo wants to have a meeting to get to the botom of the Air21-Bk transfer.They have considerrable cause for this.Mukhang may nag tip na sa ibang team owners particularly Alaska, Sta. Lucia and Rain or Shine..Red Bull is a coniving partner in the conspiracy. As what I have stated mukhang naging pambayad utang ang Air21 franchise.So instead of paying as a new freanchise fee which may amount to around 70M only a fraction would be paid…around 10% kaya transfer fee lang.To MVP and his group that is still a big savings.Nakatipid pa rin sila kahit mayayaman na sila.Put everything together and you will get the picture.
I don’t think anything will happen with this inquiry by the PBA chairman. Air21-Burger King will remain.Kesa naman mawalan ng team sa PBA eh pang dadgdag media exposure din yan just to make it look na may binabantayan ang PBA na anomalya. Remember they are the powers that be.Matutuloy pa din ang BK franchise sa PBA. May problema lang ang Air21 dahil some corporate sponsors who signed in for the long haul sa Air21 like their apparel sponsors eh naibigay na ang part ng side nila…they gave it to Air21 and not BurgerKing. Ang Anta daw ay nagbigay na ng supply ng team for the whole season.But then again kayang lusutan yan ng mga may pera.Pera lang ang katapat may sulusyon na.
Yeng as Coach.
No question Yeng Guiao will make an impact and a new dimension with this team. Rumor has it that originally Junel Baculi was to be tapped by his long time boss Mikee Romero and isang hakbang na lang sya na ang head coach but with the availablity of Yeng Guiao… actually malakas loob nya mag resign sa Red Bull(kasi nga nagkaayusan na)kasi may lilipatan na. 4 weeks before everything happened with this circus eh marami nanag paguusap.
To an insider it has been a long process.Nakakatawa lang may pa Jaworski, Jaworski pa dati ang Air21 mgmt sabi ko na nga dati eh pa press release lang yan di naman kaya bayaran si Jawo ayan nga halos ibinenta na ang franchise.
And again with Yeng Guaio diba na assign sya na RP team coach? pwede ba naman an RP team coach na hinirang ng PBA na walang PBA team…Figure it out.Gusto ng PBA yan at pabor sa PBA yan kasi kung walang team si Yeng Guiao PBA ang magpapa sweldo sa kanya.Ngayon BK na ang sasalo ng RP team salary nya.

I hope this gets posted. Anyone can confirm, expound and even deny what is written here but this is just part of the truth on how the real scenario is in the PBA and what kind of circus this is that makes Filipinos basketball crazy.

We have to thank tha Linas ,Pangilinans and the Romeros of this world who continue to run the circus in our lives. This is how we live this is reality.

TO ALL WHO DID NOT KNOW COACH YENG…. isa lng ang masasabi ko sa pag co coach ni master yeng..DEFENSE IS A GOOD OFFENSE” diyan nga nila nakuha ang redbull na sa tawag na “BUMANGGA GIBA” dahil sa mga motto na 2 naging physical ang laro ni master kaya kinaaabangan ang game nila pag naglalaro ang RB… inuumpisahan nila sa depensa.. hanggang sa magkaroon sila ng run.. at d nila titigilan un hanngang sa matapos ang laro.. kung may nagkamaling player… sinisigawan niya ito hanggang sa makapagfocus ito sa laro.. nung mga nagdaang conference nga nakikita niyo naaalis c coach dahil sa mga tecnical niya para magising ang mga players…na ikinapapanalo naman ng rb kung minsan lahat ay gagawin niya para lng makuha ang atension mo sa game…He is always a positive minded.. d niya ipinakikita na takot siya sa other team…kahit lamang ay iniinsis pa niya na run and get some point on a fastbreak… at dito nahubog ang mga players na ka2lad nila miller
